February Confession Session

It has been several months since I have written a confessions post, so I thought it would be fun to share some thoughts today.

I confess…this Texas weather is making me crazy. It was 30 last week, and now it has been 75 for the past few days. I have a small closet, and I have to keep both winter clothes and summer clothes out right now.

I confess…I haven’t been feeling well for over a month, but I am slowly recovering. It’s been amazing to feel decent the last few days and not want to head to bed the second I get home.

I confess…I have so much I want to say about residency, but I can’t. I am so ready to share more details after March 20!

I confess…I haven’t planned much of our (possible) road trip (see confession two). We haven’t set anything in stone, and I am feeling anxious because we want to go in a little over a month.

I confess…I am so excited to have Presidents’ Day off next week! We get Presidents’ Day off instead of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and it is so nice to get a day to relax in February.

I confess…I only read three books in January, and I haven’t even finished one in February yet. Hopefully, I will be more motivated to read soon!

I confess...Our dog has been waking us up multiple times to go to the bathroom. I don't know why she needs to do that all of a sudden, but we are definitely missing our sleep. Oh well, it's practice for kids, right?

That’s all I have for now. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. I want to go on a local road trip next month. I haven't started looking into it. I have half a mind to just wing it and see where we end up. I am a planner so that freaks me out. I thought it might help with my goal to be more spontaneous? Although, planning to be spontaneous doesn't count I am sure.

I am super bad with reading at the moment. I read 3 in January as well. I even started the book I am reading now near the end and I am only about 20% in. The book is good and I want to be reading I just can't seem to actually do it. Oops.

  3. Hmm, maybe you should take your pup to the vet and have her checked for a UTI. Needing to pee that much is not normal, especially if she's never done it before! Ru's on steroids right now for that ear infection, and it makes her need to pee ever 2 hours. It's a good thing we love them so darn much that we're willing to get up every few hours, eh?

  4. I am glad you are starting to feel better! Just think next week you'll be a month out from being able to share all of the residency details. I can't wait to read up about them.

Keep on feeling better, and hopefully your sweet pup will recover from so many bathroom breaks soon!

  5. Do you think your pup might have a bladder infection or something? I'm new to the game so don't know what else it could be. We don't get MLK or President's day off so you're lucky!!

  7. Glad you're feeling better, but agreed with Cat, definitely get your pup to the vet. Sounds like it could be a UTI even if there are no other symptoms!

  8. I can relate about residency issues. Immigration is harrrrrrd work. I think people hear the stories of people from two countries meeting, falling in love, getting married, and think it's smooth sailing from there. It's not. I've been in Australia over six years, and I still don't have residency. Best of luck to you.

  12. I hope you get to go on that road trip! I love a good trip. I haven't hit the road in months and I'm itching to get back out there and explore somewhere new.
