A Wednesday Confession Session

Hello, friends! Today felt like a good day to confess some things to you. I really love it when others do these posts because it’s a way to get to know bloggers, and since I’m still new at this, I hope it helps you get to know me.

I confess…I have five incomplete blog post drafts, but I can’t seem to finish a single one. Hence, this confession post.
I confess…I always try to have all my posts ready for the week on the weekend, but it never happens. I’m happy when I have my Monday post ready early on Sunday. Blah, one of these days I’ll be able to manage it better.
I confess...I was so excited to vote for the first time yesterday as a US citizen! It was a long time coming so it was a great feeling to get to finally vote.
I confess…Things always go hilariously wrong when Chris is out of town. This time, my dog threw up all over my bed the first night. Then, while I was cleaning it up, she proceeded to get sick all over her cage. It was lovely.
I confess…I sometimes feel pathetic for missing Chris as much as I do. This is the longest we have been apart in our marriage (two weeks), and it’s been no fun. We did long distance while dating, but it’s not the same. Also, our DVR is almost full, and I have strict orders not to watch our shows without him.
I confess…I went online on JCPenney to buy a shirt for Chris…and ended up with a shirt for Chris and two sweaters and dresses for me. I obviously had to get past the $99 mark for free shipping. On another note, I have been impressed with JCPenney clothes and quality lately. I used to avoid it, but I have gotten a few things recently at a good price and really liked them!
I confess…I am not doing a good job with reading lately. I thought I would pick it up over the weekend, but it hasn’t happened. I am really hoping to get back into it soon because I only have nine books left before I hit my goal of 50 books. Plus, I have several interesting advance reading copies to read that I want to share once I’m done!
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. I have 20+ drafts saved, so don't feel bad. Sometimes you just need a confessions post to get the everything out of your head.

Don't feel bad for missing your man, he's your partner, it's understandable.

Congrats on voting, that's awesome, lady!

ps.com, how did you get the slide show for your clothes?

  2. There is nothing wrong with missing your husband while he's gone - every time Gary travels for work I miss him so much!! Can't wait to hear how your reading goes, I just bought a book yesterday so I'm excited to get started reading it!!

  5. well obviously you need to get past the free shipping benchmark when shopping online! I do that all the time! And such a torture having all these shows ready to watch and not being allowed to. When I'm in that situation I tend to not care and watch them for myself even though my husband isnt there! Then I re-watch them with him and have a tendency to tell him when a good part is coming up.. he hates it..

  7. I love this idea for a post! Once, the day before I was taking Ru to the vet because she was having allergy issues, she puked all over the bed at 2am. I'm like, here I am about to drop hundreds of dollars on your health, and this is how you reward me...

  9. That dress is super cute!

I know what you mean about missing your man. Lately, Chris and I have both been super busy and we haven't gotten to spend much time together. It's really hard and I miss him like crazy. Especially since I'm going through some really stupid crap right now and could just use his shoulder to cry on.

Oh, and congratulations on voting! That is SO exciting!!!!!

  12. Congrats on voting and the whole US citizen thing! David works out of town every summer for two weeks and I know what you mean about missing Chris. It's hard to do life without your partner! {Don't feel bad about missing him, just shower him with love and excitement when he gets home!!!} Oh, and I always try to do that whole "have posts ready on the weekend" thing but I don't do a very good job either.

    1. Yeah, I'm so ready for him to get home for a few days! He's been doing this for a month now, but usually he comes home in between them. We looked at it this time, and it didn't make sense for him to come home. I will be so happy when interview season is over! :)

  14. Congrats on voting-- that is such a big milestone to be celebrated! And hopefully you can find some shows or movies that Chris won't want to watch to keep you occupied until he returns... that's what I would do, I think. That or a good book. Have a nice weekend :)
